Susan Thornton

Susan Thornton: Susan was 12 years old when she came under Cabron's care. She is and always has been very sensible and mature for her age. She is intelligent, resourceful, and emotionally guarded, but if things get too overwhelming for her, she might break down. She puts others before herself, and has a huge crush on Carius, or it could be that she is actually in love with him. Susan is a wonderful girl and very pretty. She is extremely helpful to her pack and is well loved by them all, including the alpha. She is a natural caretaker and has been a pillar of support for Cabron's other foster children and his hybrid twins when he and Kierstian were taken from them. She has brunette hair and green eyes, an altogether beautiful girl. Her parents are deceased, killed in the same attack which also took the lives of Cabron's parents and the rest of their prior pack.

Inborn Traits

  • Animal Instincts: They are very in-tuned with the natural world (+6 alertness and reflexes).
  • Improve with Age: As Lycanthrope age, they become much stronger in every way (+1 physical checks, Trait Gifts, Inborn Traits per five levels gained up to 30). The older a werewolf or werecat, the more adept they are at controlling their shift, and the stronger their inborn traits and gifts become, until they grow old and decrepit.
  • Shifting at Will: They cannot shift at will when young, but as they get older, they become especially adept at shifting. Lycanthrope between the levels of 1-6 can rarely control their shift, and shift mostly during a full moon. As they get stronger, they begin to learn to shift at will, +1 d6 per level (up to 40). 1 Ace [6] succeeds. Only when they gain superb control, can they restrain themselves from shifting when they see a full moon, 7 Aces [6s] must be rolled to succeed.
  • Innate Gifts: All of their gifts are 'innate,' and thus they learn them far more quickly than demons and vampires learn theirs (50% XP cost). Their Gifts all have to do with nature, their pack or themselves, all of which they are very in-tuned to, and learning their gifts comes quite naturally, it is having a good teacher, and perfecting them that makes the difference.

  • Form Shift - Human form shifts into wolf or big-cat breed. +2 levels in half shift or full shift. They can also perform partial shifts (claws, teeth and fangs, tough hide.) Young Lycanthrope have no control over shift and shift whether they want to or not when enraged or frightened. Lycanthrope 100 and older can shift at will at any time.
  • Senses of the Beast - Keen hearing, Sense of Smell, Eyesight, Tastebuds. +15 to split between these senses.
  • Physical Fortress - Great Strength: +10, Speed: +10, Stamina: +20, Stealth: +10, Dexterity: +5, Toughness: +5 Fortitude and Regeneration: +3 Regeneration, Far Leap: up to 6 d6 distance, Improved Balance: +16.
  • Animal Presence - Lycanthrope can exude a dominant, terrifying, calming or an inspirational presence.

  • Lycanthrope can see through darkness as if they had infrared vision. When this is active, eyes reflect with a green reflection in light.

  • Path of Nature

    Present Level: 1

  • Level 1: [1-3] Insight of the Wolf: The lycanthrope can discern of weaknesses allowing him an advantage in combat or even diplomacy. This can be done multiple times, but only lasts until the end of a sequence. Rival player reveal 1 trait weakness or principle weakness of character.
  • Level 2: [4-6] Binocular Vision: Vision can 'zoom' in on things in the distance like binoculars, up to +1 vision per success.
  • Level 3: [7-9] Summon Shadow Familiar: The lycanthrope can summon a familiar, which acts as their servant. The familiar can be sent to spy on others returning with secrets and privileged information. The familiar will be invisible to anyone not within the black curtain of the shadow realm. These three familiars are permanent until killed and cannot be physically harmed, nor can they make physical contact.
  • Level 4: [10-12] Call of the Wild: Distress or battle cry summons a host of wild animals to protect the Lycanthrope, +1 called animal per success.
  • Level 5: [13-15] Claws of Ice: Slash with claws while connecting with the spirit of the arctic to quick freeze a victim, -1 mvm per success, 0 mvm on a crit, aggravated damage, +1 turn, +1 turn per ace.
  • Level 6: [16-18] Night Song: Animal song which soothes rage and mesmerizes all within a twenty yard radius.
  • Level 7: [19-21] Adept Escape: Lycanthrope moves with such perfect reflexes, slippery finesse and quickness that they escape attack or capture for three turns. They are unable to attack while escaping
  • Level 8: [22-24] Breath of time: The lycanthrope howls/roars to release a temporal wave of power that makes time skip a beat for up to 15 seconds, time stopping for everyone but the responsible lycanthrope for that brief period of time.
  • Level 9: [25-27] Truth Sight: Lycanthrope tell when anyone is lying, and can see past deceptions
  • Level 10: [28-30] Guardian Wolf: A spirit wolf that is of a physical embodiment, is called forth by an ancient ritual, summoning the spirit of the ancestral protector. This animal is neither living nor dead, and protects either a Haven, or a single individual fiercely, if not relentlessly, and nothing can harm it physically.
  • Level 11: [31-35] Divine Gift of Ardda: Agelessness, Lycanthrope stops aging, but is still only quasi-immortal and able to die from mortal wounds.

  • Level 1: [1-3] Healing Song – heal +1 HP per success, +5 per ace with healing song, gourd rattle, and medicine bag.
  • Level 2: [4-6] Calm: soaks -1 WP, and -1 WP per ace, Power vs. Willpower
  • Level 3: [7-9] Healing Chant – heal serious wounds and illness, +5 HP per success, +10 HP per ace.
  • Level 4: [10-12] Advocate – summon a powerful spirit which will shield another from harm until the spirit is vanquished. Spirit soaks -1 damage or power per success per hit to protected subject no matter what kind of damage it is. Advocate has +1 save, +1 save per ace vs. banishment. This spirit is not affected by raise the dead.
  • Level 5: [13-15] Heal Deadly Wounds: Heals all deadly wounds on success.
  • Level 6: [16-18] Spirit Union – the shaman falls into a deeply meditative state as they dream walk to the other side where they can gain knowledge, or tap aspects of the elements, spirits, life force, or an entity to either draw energy from it and channel that power, or to expel a spirit from a person or area. At high levels the shaman can join with multiple spirits (max number=AR). Aspects tapped through union of spirit can last up to +1 turn, +1 turn per success.
  • Level 7: [19-21] Repulse Enemies: repulses enemies of any alignment for +1 turn, +1 per ace.
  • Level 8: [22-24] Resurrection – restore life to the dead through spirit conduits, the life force, and restorative healing.
  • Level 9: [25-27] Purification – Purify blood, mind, body, food, water, air, etc. as called, by drawing undesirable matter into the dead realm.
  • Level 10: [28-30] Destroy Evil: alters target's alignment to a good alignment.
  • Level 11: [31-35] Union of Flesh – shaman dream walks to the nether marches to tap echoes of spirits and harness their living embodiment of the past to call the flesh of a called creature into self or another to shape shift. Shape shift ability can become permanent on a crit if called.
